The Waiting is a Christian pop rock band, consisting of Brad Olsen (vocals, guitar), Todd Olsen (guitar, vocals), Clark Leake (bass), and Brandon Thompson (drums, percussion). Since the members focus more time on other aspects of their lives and like to take their time recording, the band does not produce and perform as frequently as most other bands.
Early albums by "The Waiting" were guitar driven alternative rock that drew fans with clever songwritting and introspective lyrics that stood out from most Christian rock of the day. The band's later albums moved towards a more polished pop sound and suffered less enthusiastic reviews for it.
In August of 2003, The Waiting hit the stage after a hiatus in Snellville, Georgia where they played a sold out show. This would be their last concert. The Waiting officially broke up in late 2003 due to its members seeking to further their own endeavors.
Brad Olsen resides in Suwannee, Georgia and is head pastor of Real Life Churchlocated in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Todd Olsen resides in Atlanta, Georgia working as a music producer.
