Antonio Hernandez, also known as "Nu Tone," was born and raised in Stockton, California. He was abandoned by his father at the tender age of three, which left his mother working day and night to provide for five children.
Like most young men who grew up without a father, Tone looked to the neighborhood family of older gangsters for guidance, mimicking their behavior. He eventually got kicked out of the San Joaquin School District for fighting too much.
At 16, Tone started rapping about his new lifestyle and was known as "Filthy Tone". Wanting to be more, Tone pursued the fast life of chasing fame, money, and women. He became a promoter alongside "Drowzy" a.k.a. Arize. They performed at their shows and got paid all around the 209.
Trying to mask the eternal void deep inside, Tone would always perform intoxicated. At night he would sleep with the lights on because he would have demonic encounters. The last encounter he had scared him straight to Jesus. Tone gave his life to Christ on January 29, 2011. Three days later, Tone had a dream about Jesus that changed his life forever.
Nu Tone is a husband, father, and pastor; many considered him an urban missionary. Tone created His Throne Records an independent label. His discography boasts of songs with 1K Phew, Dru Bex, 350, DJ Mykael V, Jered Sanders, Eshon Burgundy, Joey Vantes, Thi'sl, Young Bro Zee, Xay Hill, Rockstar Jt, Bryann T, Parris Chariz, Keith Wallace, Mikayla Penha, Breana Marin, Rebekah Renatus and many more.
