Singer/Songwriter and Actress, Aijia (pronounced Eh-jie-ah) has had a passion for the arts since the age of two. In 2008, Aijia was accepted into the Musical Theatre program at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts and it was during these four years that she developed her gift as a vocalist as well as a stronger interest in dramatic arts. Currently attending Humber College, as a vocalist, in the Bachelor of Contemporary Music Degree Program, Aijia’s progression has also led to her receiving the 2013 Archie Alleyne Scholarship Award, for aspiring musicians and the 2014 Trish Colter Award. 

Through mentorship and artist development, Upright Music Republic has been working closely with Aijia towards the completion of her own cd project, one that promises to offer a refreshing, yet sophisticated spin in the veins of R&B, Soul, Contemporary and Jazz music. With Aijia’s debut single entitled, “C.L.A.S.S.” and a second single "Yielded" featured on the Life Movements Compilation project, Upright Music Republic is pleased to present to you this gifted young lady as she aspires to inspire through her art and love for Christ.
