I have always dreamed of someone covering solid old-fashioned hymns in not just a contemporary but a folk and americana style. I heard rock versions of covers, but this relates more as it appeals to our basic desires and hunger for God. I listened to "Angel Band" and it was just what I dreamed of.
Andrew Greer also has a soulful voice who sings the emotion in the true meaning of hymns. This is a brilliant combo. His voice reminds me of Royal Wood. I would definitely attend his house concert.
