Being a contemporary Christian artist isn’t just about letting others listen to a song you’ve written; it’s about letting others into your life.  Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Brian learned piano at a very young age, transitioning over to guitar as he was exiting high school.  Although he thought learning the guitar was to entertain himself while sitting on his bed, God had a bigger plan.

Brian soon began writing his own songs, shying away from performing them for anybody.  However, a gentle prod from a good friend, Nate Goodwin, changed all that when he was asked to play his original material.  With the encouragement from friends and family, Brian grew more confident in his songwriting.  Since 2001, his involvement with Young Life (a Christian non-profit ministry focused on high school discipleship) has given Brian the platform to perform at multiple week-long and weekend camps.  Not only has he had the opportunity to play music for kids, but he has also been a high school leader himself.

Getting married in October, 2011, Brian and his wife, Stephanie, began leading for the high school around the corner from their house in Mesa, AZ.  Although they were unsure of having the time to commit to leading, they both arrived at the fact that God is a multiplier:  whether you give of your money or your time, He will take your gift and multiply it.

Since their time with Young Life at Red Mountain High School, many life changes have been decided and experienced.  In March, 2014, they both made the choice to move to Nashville, TN, to further the musical career of Brian.  Although they don’t move until August, the decision did not come easily.  For Brian, his music has not been simply about songs; it’s been about relationships.  With so many relationships built with kids, parents, and fellow leaders, Brian continued to feel God pulling him to Nashville, so he and his wife are choosing obedience over comfort.

With so many changes happening in Brian’s life, not all of them have been met with a smile.  After the exciting announcement of moving to Nashville, Brian and his wife also found out they were going to have a baby, to be born in November, 2014.  However, the end of March held different news as they found out they had a miscarriage.  When discussing whether or not they should share the news on a public level with friends and family over social media, the Weaver’s decided to allow people in to not only the things in their life that bring a smile, but also the things that bring tears, showing an example of what it looks like to live in the light.

Since 2006, Brian has been sharing the stage with artists such as Third Day, Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, Tenth Avenue North, Chris August, Sidewalk Prophets, Mark Schultz, The City Harmonic, Britt Nicole, Phil Wickham, Mikeschair, Jonny Diaz, Todd Agnew, Phil Joel, Shawn McDonald, JJ Heller, Abandon, Beckah Shae, and many others; also including appearances at Spirit West Coast Del Mar and Monterey festivals and Elevate Music Festival.

Brian Weaver continues to portray his life through his music, as well as live his music through his life.  Brian is excited about the new songs on his upcoming album, written from a place of honesty and openness.  The hope is that his new collection of songs will bring listeners to a better understanding of what it means to worship God.  Worship is not simply the music that plays before a message; it is a lifestyle.  Worship is when we draw near to God and when we place ourselves in front of Him.  Brian desires to not just encourage people to worship more in life, but to live in worship.

Brian is signed to VSR Music Group and Capitol CMG Distribution, releasing his newest album on September 2nd.  His first single, "Nothing At All", released in May to all digital retailers and is also released to radio.
