Midsouth has been around the block a few times, originally as the Midsouth Boys until they dropped the "Boys" and became Midsouth a few years ago.
Throughout their career it was said that the boys were ahead of their time. Time has proven that much of their influence has remained with today's artists. Much of the music that is heard on Christian radio today strikes a similar chord with what MidSouth was doing 10-15 years ago. One compliment was given by Nashville session guitarist Brent Rowan who played on several MidSouth projects. He made the observation after listening to a MidSouth recording from 1990 that the recording still sounded fresh and new. This statement was made in the year 2000, ten years after the recording took place.
