Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
RUA YOUNG and KB - "GOD DID II" Capitol CMG’s RUA YOUNG and Provident Label Group’s KB handcrafted a bold, high-energy anthem for believers worldwide. The track showcases the rising talents of RUA YOUNG alongside the seasoned lyrical firepower of KB. The collaboration represents the “passing of the torch” with KB endorsing RUA YOUNG’s emerging presence in the subgenre.
The beat hits hard with crisp drums and atmospheric layers giving cinematic vibes. It’s polished, punchy, and ideal for either headphones or car speakers. The message is clear; God did what no one else could. It’s a testament to what happens when passion meets purpose. Stream “GOD DID II” on Spotify and Apple Music.
George.Rose and Bizzle - "THE WAY" LIFESTYL33’ George.Rose snags God Over Money’s Bizzle for a spiritually charged team effort on their new single. It’s a bold declaration of faith wrapped in infectious energy and lyrical depth. The track speaks to listeners who feel lost or undervalued. Bizzle brings forth his signature grit and theological sharpness. His contribution is packed with punchlines and spiritual insight, rejecting superficiality and affirming his long-standing commitment to Christ. Overall, the track isn’t preachy, yet persuasive and delivered with authenticity. Stream “THE WAY” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Marty x Wes - "YOU GOT IT" APOLLO Records’ Marty and Soul Surplus’ producer/songwriter Wes Pendleton link up for their first single from the upcoming new collaboration EP titled, HOLLYWOOD HILLS. Once released, the EP will only be available on the Even.biz platform or on vinyl for purchase. For quite some time, Marty sought after the organic, purist form of hip-hop found in the likes of a De La Soul or Digable Planets. One thing led to another, Marty and Wes linked up for something beautiful. Check Even.biz on Friday, July 25 for the EP’s release.
The first single is honest, raw, and almost more of a freestyle. Marty already knows the value of a timely-placed beat switch too. The concept behind it is rooted off the various Proverbs verses that speak to not arguing with a fool. It's about being confident in the individual God made you and not wasting energy to prove anything. Marty tapped into his origin story from 2011-2012 when he released back-to-back solo projects before Social Club Misfits officially took off. Being a “Day 1”, this is the version of Marty I rock with the most. Stream “YOU GOT IT” on Spotify and Apple Music.
