Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we have listed a few highlights and included the rest for your review. As always, follow our New Christian Rap and Hip-Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.

THE ONE by Marty (of Social Club Misfits)
APOLLO Records’ Marty drops THE ONE, his third project representing that independent label life. Marty explains the premises behind the album is a story of God’s pursuit of the lost, inspired by the parable of Jesus leaving the 99 to find the one. It’s personal, it’s powerful, and it’s packed with purpose. Every track is rooted in raw testimony yet produced to hit with mainstream appeal—this is gospel truth with commercial potential. Sonically, it bridges the gap between conviction and culture. Spiritually, it meets people where they are and reminds them, they’re never too far gone. This isn’t just an album—it’s hope in high fidelity. It’s easily noticeable Marty has a gift with words and it's even more evident throughout the eight included tracks.

Favorites include “2PAC IS STILL ALIVE IN CUBA” featuring Propaganda, “PLANET HOLLYWOOD” featuring Wordsplayed, and “BROOKLYN JAZZ MAN” featuring Don Ready. I admire how Marty’s art is playful yet refined. It’s impactful, yet fun. A pristine mixture of humor, reality, culture, faith, and transparency explodes between the listeners’ ears settling at a certain peak of understanding.

Sonically, it’s a kaleidoscope of creativity and experimentation. Overall featured artists include the three mentioned above as well as Spencer Kane on “WHY???” Production-wise, Marty sat at the helm with a few assists from others. Marty established a second wind within his iconic lifeline as an artist and producer for more than 10 years with the creation of APOLLO Records. The current roster includes Gavin the Hotrod, Tre’Gadd, and recently added De’Aris. The future is bright and the outlook is promising. Stream THE ONE on Spotify here.

TYTANIUM 2 (Deluxe Edition) by Ty Brasel
Independent rapper Ty Brasel gives his two-month-old project the deluxe treatment by adding an additional five tracks totaling 16 in all. Brasel took another creative approach by featuring the new tracks at the beginning of the project as opposed to the end. He enlisted two featured artists too with Isaac Mansfield on “Lets Go!” and Mainetoowavy! On “Yeaa Yeaa.” The new tracks are high powered, energetic and add a fresh vibe to the already included 11 songs. The combination of the two sets of tracks transforms a good project into something great. Stream TYTANIUM 2 (Deluxe Edition) on Spotify here.

Sho Baraka - "Might Not Go"
Independent (Lion and Liars Music) artist Sho Baraka returns with his second single of 2025. Baraka delivers a bold wake-up call, confronting cultural idols, false religion, and empty spiritual posturing with unapologetic truth. Over hard-hitting beats, he weaves Scripture, street wisdom, and personal conviction into lines that challenge both heart and mind. The hook echoes the warning: “Everybody talking about heaven might not go”. Baraka has always been along the lines of “no holds barred” artists such as Propaganda and Bizzle. This may turn out as a favorite of the year thus far for me. Stream “Might Not Go” on Spotify and Apple Music.
