Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Below, we listen to a few highlights and list the rest for your own discovery. As always, follow our New Christian Rap & Hip Hop playlist on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to all the latest.
Legin - "GHOST" Independent Virginian artist, Legin, teamed up with RMG Amplify to bring us his latest single titled, “Ghost.” The single, as described by the artist himself, “is an evocative pop-rap fusion featuring Grammy-winning producer and vocalist Laquan Green (Bodak Yellow). Blending 80s-inspired synths, moody textures, and emotionally rich vocals, the track explores the emotional aftermath of being “ghosted” by the opposite gender; whether romantic or platonic. With its infectious hook and cinematic production, the single captures both the ache of absence and the resilience to move forward, making it a standing moment in my evolving catalog of purpose-driven artistry.” I personally enjoy how sonically different the track resonates throughout and it’s a blessing to hear different approaches to art these days. Stream “Ghost” on Spotify and Apple Music.
Cole Isaac - "GIVE ME JESUS (NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES)" NRT Music’s latest Canadian signee Cole Isaac debuted a new single titled, “GIVE ME JESUS (NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES).” Isaac has released a handful of singles since 2022, however, is hyped to move into a season of new music including his first project. The EP will drop as of Friday, June 20. Pre-orders for the project will be available as of Friday, May 23 when the first single is released.
"GIVE ME JESUS (NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES)" sets the tone for the entire project. Eliza Christianson's vocals bring a stunning layer of harmony and strength to the track's reflective verses and worshipful choruses. The lyrics are soaked in Scripture and testimony: "I've been tired of the pain and overwhelmed by the stress / But I know my satisfaction only comes in His rest." As the bridge gives way to praise, Cole calls on the names of God–Jehovah Jireh, Saviour, Messiah–as the song builds into a full-hearted cry: "You're the name above all names, the conqueror of the grave."
I thoroughly enjoy it when artists flip worship tracks into summertime anthems. KB is infamous for such an approach, as I’m encouraged by other artists following suite. Isaac showcases both his lyricism and ability to harmonize in heartfelt melodies. Stream “GIVE US JESUS (NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES)”on Spotify and Apple Music.
Reconcile - "Flood Me"
Miami-based independent artist Reconcile returns with his third single dropped in 2025. The single was written at a time when Reconcile was broken and distant from God in his faith walk. It’s a cry of desperation. It’s an act of servitude and worship. Reconcile has always been a strong, proactive voice for the streets and to bring the Gospels directly to the people who are in need. Those which are lost. Those who were addicted to all things far from the bible. He’s been an advocate for those “forgotten” individuals without hope.
As previously mentioned, a special place in my heart resides for worship-infused hip-hop. Authentic. Desperate. Not that of uniform or a certain cadence. Purely unfiltered and raw. Reconcile captures the essence of a soul in need of the close presence of our Lord and Savior. This represents a beautiful display of using a spiritual gift given to return dues back onto Him.
