Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. OMARI EP by Aaron Cole Provident Label Group’s Aaron Cole released an EP as an ode to fatherhood and his first child. The three-track mini offering possesses themes of excitement, gratitude and overall thankfulness towards God’s goodness and faithfulness. The title and last track exhibit his CHH prowess whereas the first track featuring Tauren Wells flows more into that R&B, worship-tuned vibe honoring our Creator. Stream OMARI on Spotify here.
Zauntee - "SINNER" Atlantic Records' artist Zauntee returns with his first new music since dropping an album in February. Also, tonight he finishes up The Prelude Tour which stopped in 13 cities over the last 30-day period. Quite a few intense emotions are tapped into throughout this track. It’s worship music. It’s a testimony. It’s a prayer. It’s a translucent view into the heart and mind of Zauntee as he navigates throughout this Christian walk.
The sonic elements are diverse. Piano keystrokes, guitar riffs, snare taps, and 808s combine to add a diverse atmosphere to the emotional pull of the lyrical content. The overall track further cements Zauntee as a purist in the CHH space. He remains true to calling out tidbits of faith throughout content while tugging at a six-string of the heart’s interior. JusRzd x Solachi Voz x Will Kellum x Opto Music x Rapzilla - "Faithful"
Rapzilla releases their fourth single in 2024 from their Freshman Class of 2024. Virginia’s own independent artist JusRzd gets things started. The concept behind the track speaks to God’s faithfulness and a personal desire to always do what’s right in His eyes. California’s Solachi Voz follows with a mixture of rhyme and harmonies while Ohio’s Will Kellum raps things up. Production was handled by the infamous Opto Music. The piano strokes blend quite well with the drums. All-in-all, it’s an all-around joyous declaration thanking God for who He is and the rewards of remaining faithful.
