VOUS Worship is a diverse group of singers and songwriters who have united to worship Jesus passionately. They represent VOUS Church, based in Miami, Florida. VOUS Worship shares a common passion for God and seeing His kingdom reign on Earth. Their mission is "to go into the night carrying Jesus's message and bring the broken home."
This passion is exemplified in my favorite album, I Met Jesus In Miami. Over 15 tracks, VOUS Worship shares their story and claim to victory in Jesus. I'll review "Rejoice," one of the songs from this album, and their newest single, "Take Me With You." I hope you enjoy the songs as much as I do.
"Rejoice"
"I've got a joy down in my heart
I've got a love that never stops
I've got a peace that passes understanding
That's what I've got."
As the sweet voices of VOUS Worship sang this song of peace, I felt a fresh wave of calm wash over me. They elegantly reminded me that the joy of the Lord is not contingent on worldly events; therefore, even though my life has been chaotic lately, I still have access to this joy.
The joy makes me want to love others like I never have before. The passion gets me on my feet to share the Word of the Lord. Peace holds me together when I try my hardest to break into pieces, desperate for attention on the worst days. It's all in God, and hallelujah for that. "The Lord is near," the choir declares, "Let my heart be sure of this." I cherished that line and found myself singing it, reading it, anything I could do to ingrain it in my heart. We all need a Jesus encounter. I pray that "Rejoice" will open the floodgates of heaven so you may experience it, just as I was able to.

Their unique beat and lovely reverence elevate VOUS Worship's powerful words—the surprisingly uplifting anthem of confidence. Nothing in life lasts forever except for that of my Heavenly Father. The faith He has built up in me, reaffirmed by the miracles I've seen and the wonders of which I've heard, bubbles up when life sends its gusting winds. I love how the worship team cries, "I can't pretend that I'm self-sustained/Totally dependent upon your grace." I'm so prone to forgetting my position as a child of God when I am discouraged by heartache and disappointment. But that's when I need to rely on Him the most. Indeed, "Where would I be without you, Jesus?" Keeping these lyrics in my mind and repeating them is a great way to affirm the love of Jesus and remember to talk to Him through prayer. God always comes through when I feel I've reached my weakest point. I hope this song conveys an equally powerful and impactful message for you.
