Scootie Wop - "Freshy" Sony Music Entertainment's Scootie Wop just released "THE" summer anthem of 2023. The lyrics are smothered in window-rattling bass coupled with touches of synthesizers and whistling accents. Scootie's content is playful, full of Kingdom references, and just makes you feel happy. Although light in nature, Scootie adds tidbits of faith throughout. Honestly, it is my favorite single of the month. Stream "Freshy" on Spotify and Apple Music.
KJ-52 feat. Wingy Danejah and Alcott - "Babylon Boom" CHH icon and veteran KJ-52 released another single from the unreleased project, Still Standing. The track was produced by Reflection Music Group's (RMG) Derek Minor and features two of the hottest indie artists. Alcott is set to release his debut project, however, has already made a name within the industry. Wingy Danejah brings the islands to the genre with blends of reggae and hip-hop.
"Babylon Boom" is a clarion call for resilience and faith in the face of adversity, seamlessly combining rap and the Christian faith in an empowering manner. WHATUPRG x HEAVENONEARTH - "Digital" Reach Records' WHATUPRG releases his second major collaboration ("PRAISE" being the first) partnering with Aklesso, Rhomar Jessy, Kaleb Mitchell, A3, 350, and Not Kylde. The track was produced by Juicebangers and Enzo Gran. The collaborative team is referred to as HEAVENONEARTH with this effort as their debut. Their goal is simply to provide a glimpse of heaven on earth.
As explained by the label, "fusing jarring sirens with chants on the hook as well unique flows and perspective in the verses from the members of the collective, "Digitial" is sure to get the listener out of their seats and nodding their heads."
