Pillar's third release, Where Do We Go from Here?, is by far, their most melodic record yet. You could sense it a bit on Fireproof, but it is in full force this time around. So much more emotion was poured into this release. At times, it almost seems louder and more aggressive than Fireproof, and it probably is. However, the melodic overlay of the entire record keeps it from seeming hardcore in any sense. Comparisons to other rock/rap bands will still be inevitable, but Pillar's trademark sound should be enough to silence opposition.
Of course, Pillar's third release, Where Do We Go from Here?, is not referring to where they should take their musical direction next. Rather, it speaks of the state of the American church. Pillar has always been very bold lyrically, never straying from in-your-face lyrics that demand change for the better. Expect no different here.

A hit for Pillar| Posted December 08, 2007
With the exception of one song ("rewind") Pillars second album, Where do we go from here is pretty much rock. There is not a lot of screaming (if there is it's mostly background) or light rock, simply rock solid music.
Pillars first song and perhaps best on the album is "hypnotized", a terrific rock song which is more or less the albums' title track, and the hardest song is the single "bring me down". Another very good song on the CD is "frontline", and along with that is the song "holding on". "Rewind" is the lightest song on the disc, but is still pretty good at its core, if not a little plan.
The song "dirty little secret" has a very unsettling sound to it, and "one thing" and "after shock" are only okay". The lyrics are mostly decent with a few good songs that stick out like "simply" and "let it out". "Frontline" has a great anthem, while "rewind" has a good message too.
Pillar is similar to Thousand Foot Krutch is some ways, and they struggle with putting more distinction into every song. But overall Where Do We Go from here is a very solid rock album.

If you like Christian Rock with solid lyrics this album is for you. Some of my favorites are Bring Me Down, Frontline, Simply, Holding On, and Hypnotized. I give this 5 stars because there's no song on the album I don't like.

this is by far my favorite pillar album. This and tobymac's momentum accutaly got me into christian music. The best songs are hypnotized, frontline, and bring me down.

Pillar bursts out with the heavy-hitting new album and it sounds amazing. The vocals, guitars, bass, and drums are all solid throughout the album. A worthy addition to any rock fan's music collection.
