Four-time Dove Award-nominated progressive rock band, Leeland, has announced the February 26th, 2008 release of its second studio album, Opposite Way. Opposite Way was produced by Matt Bronleewe (Michael W. Smith, Natalie Imbruglia), mixed by Ben Grosse (Ben Folds, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Smoak Stack Studios and Pentavarit Studios.
Leeland front man, Leeland Mooring, shares about the heart behind the band's new album, "Opposite Way is a call to our generation to passionately walk the 'opposite way' of the world; that it's ok to live the Christian life and be on fire for God, even if it makes us look different. We want to encourage, inspire and raise up a new generation of worshippers."

I was super excited that they have another release coming out soon! I played thier older cd( Sound of Melodies) so much that I had to buy 2! That doesn't happen very often...It's just that they are seamless and so very talented! I love ya to pieces. Keep up the stylish lyrics and smooth as silk harmonies! You have a fan for life with me.

Leeland's sophmore album, set to come out February 29th, blends unique and powerful lyrics with catchy melodies. 'Opposite Way' is meant to encourage listeners to be opposite of the world and praise God to the fullest, and this newest album definitely sets an example of just that! WOW! I have been waiting anxiously on this second release from Leeland and was NOT disappointed. Rarely has a band or artist gave me the full on experience, with both the words and the music (right from the first listen of Sound of Melodies), of bringing me to an intimate time with my Creator and my Savior like Leelend does again with Opposite Way.
Their worship is purely passionate and evident whether your hands are lifted where they are playing live, or if you're in your car with ony their cd and fighting to keep a hand on the steering wheel (I have often had to pull over because I could not).
Either way the tears of joy come and you feel washed by the personal time you just spent with the One.
Whether it's "Count Me In" with it's energetic building of guitars and vocals that become a banner you hold high, or the quiet awakening that happens within "Opposite way", you come away changed by what you have heard and energized with the truth.
Thank you Leeland for being true to the gift you've been given, not distacted by the machine, and for the muic you create that honors the One who gave it to you.

Leeland did it again, and personally I like this album even more than their first. I think they really spent some time on each song making it perfect. The whole album is so catchy, and has the greatest messages, bringing glory to God. My favorite songs is Oppoiste Way for sure. Make sure you buy it when it comes out!

This record is like the most amazing thing ever. It might not have super novas or unicorns in it like Eleventysevens galactic conquest but it will definately be curing alot of ear cancer.

I loved it :D!!! Lord willing, I will buy the album. It had a lot of songs that great like: Count Me In, Let Count It Out Now, Opposite Way, Beginning And The End, Brighter Days, Falling For You, and Don't go Away. Congratulations to Leeland on another great album :D!!!

Leeland's first album came out in August '06 and many people liked their sound and the genuine lyrics. "Tears of the Saints" off the last album has become a anthem that encourages Christians to reach out to the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This second album has come out somewhat fast after the last album so I was a little skeptical about it coming out so soon. After listening to the preview twice and reading the lyrics this album has great music and genuine, down to earth lyrics. I'm for sure going to get this album on CD.

I would suggest this album to the Leeland-fans. It's a good album -again- and comparable to their previous album: it contains cool rock songs and some more 'slow' songs like 'Tears Of The Saints'.
At the same time that's my big remark: it's more of the same, standard and not very creative. They can do many more and be more creative than this!! But why didn't they do that?
I won't buy this album. Hopefully their third album will be... different but cool.

Well Leeland has done it again...I've Loved them since I 1st heard back in sept '06 and i saw them once and im goin to see them again in Feb...He brings heart to every song he sings and great lyrics...My fav band ...I Love them....this cd is Simply Awesome....God bless them...

In enjoyed this album. It has a Keith Green type of call to the church and individual to wake up. The songs are excellent and word based.
The pop kind of feel that makes the message catchy and keeps the words rolling around in your head. I anticipate that Count Me In, Let It Out Now, Opposite Way, Wake Up, and Beginning And The End will be huge hits.
While Enter This Temple, Thief In The Night, and May Our Praise are tracks that have a great Praise and Worship feel to them. They are the kind of hits that will be used in churches to lead the body of Christ into worship!
However, I didn't care for these tracks:
Brighter Days, Falling For You, and Don't Go Away.
Because of the 8 excellent tracks, my overall rating is 4 out of 5 stars. These are the type of tracks that will remain on our lips for years.
