Four-time Dove Award-nominated progressive rock band, Leeland, has announced the February 26th, 2008 release of its second studio album, Opposite Way. Opposite Way was produced by Matt Bronleewe (Michael W. Smith, Natalie Imbruglia), mixed by Ben Grosse (Ben Folds, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Smoak Stack Studios and Pentavarit Studios.
Leeland front man, Leeland Mooring, shares about the heart behind the band's new album, "Opposite Way is a call to our generation to passionately walk the 'opposite way' of the world; that it's ok to live the Christian life and be on fire for God, even if it makes us look different. We want to encourage, inspire and raise up a new generation of worshippers."

I didn't think Leeland could get much better, they have proven me wrong with this Sophmore album, I haven't been listening to anything else. There are songs to make you want to get up and dance or just sit and worship God. The two songs that stuck out to me the most where The title track "Count Me In" and "Falling for you" These are great songs and I love Leeland they have done a great job in spreading the work of God through their music.
Great music and lyrics.| Posted January 29, 2008
Leeland's first album came out in August '06 and many people liked their sound and the genuine lyrics. "Tears of the Saints" off the last album has become a anthem that encourages Christians to reach out to the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This second album has come out somewhat fast after the last album so I was a little skeptical about it coming out so soon. After listening to the preview twice and reading the lyrics this album has great music and genuine, down to earth lyrics. I'm for sure going to get this album on CD.

I am blown away by the insight of this eighteen year old man. Clearly hooked up with Holy Spirit. I love these guys, their heart is transparent and real. I haven't decided yet if I like this album better than the first, because it was absolutely amazing, so listen for yourselves, you will not be disappointed. Blessings to Leeland!
Sophmore album a success!| Posted January 28, 2008
Leeland's sophmore album, set to come out February 29th, blends unique and powerful lyrics with catchy melodies. 'Opposite Way' is meant to encourage listeners to be opposite of the world and praise God to the fullest, and this newest album definitely sets an example of just that! With Leeland's pure voice and the band's lyrics of worship, this album is definitely a success!
Leeland Rocks!| Posted January 28, 2008
I was super excited that they have another release coming out soon! I played thier older cd( Sound of Melodies) so much that I had to buy 2! That doesn't happen very often...It's just that they are seamless and so very talented! I love ya to pieces. Keep up the stylish lyrics and smooth as silk harmonies! You have a fan for life with me.
Want to spend an intimate time with God?| Posted January 27, 2008
WOW! I have been waiting anxiously on this second release from Leeland and was NOT disappointed. Rarely has a band or artist gave me the full on experience, with both the words and the music (right from the first listen of Sound of Melodies), of bringing me to an intimate time with my Creator and my Savior like Leelend does again with Opposite Way.
Their worship is purely passionate and evident whether your hands are lifted where they are playing live, or if you're in your car with ony their cd and fighting to keep a hand on the steering wheel (I have often had to pull over because I could not).
Either way the tears of joy come and you feel washed by the personal time you just spent with the One.
Whether it's "Count Me In" with it's energetic building of guitars and vocals that become a banner you hold high, or the quiet awakening that happens within "Opposite way", you come away changed by what you have heard and energized with the truth.
Thank you Leeland for being true to the gift you've been given, not distacted by the machine, and for the muic you create that honors the One who gave it to you.

What's is that fresh new sound on Christian radio? It's the new band Leeland blowing everyone away with their upbeat melodies and deep lyrics. Leeland Mooring leads this amazing band with his amazing lyrics and distinct voice. Their first CD "Sound of Melodies" was welcomed with open arms into the Christian community. Since their first CD took off like it did, Leeland has come up with a new CD titled "Opposite Way". Personally, I wasn't sure I was going to like the new CD just because the first CD was so awesome. I was sorely mistaken. With Leeland's amazing melodies and ultra-deep lyrics, this is my new favorite CD. If you are ready to hear something different and worship the Lord on your own, this is the band for you.
No sophmore slump| Posted January 21, 2008
After getting a quick listen to Leelands latest cd "Opposite Way" I can safely say that there is no sophmore slump here. First time I listen to a cd I normally look for a few good songs to stand out and those that are filler. There are no filler songs here. The cd has a strong opener in "Count Me In" and closes strong with "May Our Praise". I know that with more times listening this could very well be one of the best releases of 2008.
Very cool| Posted January 20, 2008
It is really a kind of new sound to enter the Christian music genre and it is very cool. I like it, they have a kind of R.E.M./ U2 sound. Maybe because of their accents but anyway I really hope they stay faithful to Him and they will do well. I'd like to hear more.
Absolutely Wonderful| Posted January 25, 2008
Leeland did it again, and personally I like this album even more than their first. I think they really spent some time on each song making it perfect. The whole album is so catchy, and has the greatest messages, bringing glory to God. My favorite songs is Oppoiste Way for sure. Make sure you buy it when it comes out!
