This song was stirring around in my heart for a long time before we actually put pen to paper. After various conversations, the theme of moving forward in strength without fear kept repeating in my heart. I was sitting on a zoom call with several worship leaders, and something that was said resonated so strongly in my heart, that I had to leave to go sit at the piano. The words of the bridge started pouring out of my heart. A few months later, I got together with Meredith and Andrew and we finished the song. It was so deep in my heart for such a long time, and they were the perfect people to help bring it to life. My prayer is that this song is an anthem for the church. That we can lift up our voices together, declaring the freedom to move forward in strength, unafraid of what's ahead and free from what's behind. All we have to do, is worship our amazing God who fights on our behalf and has already won the battle.
