Best album ever! | Posted September 14, 2009
Being one of my favorite albums ever, Satellite will be my first album review ever!
This hard rock band from California opens their album with three power-packed tracks that immediately draw you in and get you energized. "Set it Off" is full of power, emotion and sweet guitars driving the song's chorus like a freight train. "Boom" sounds like something you'd hear at a stadium and in fact has been played in a movie. Though not quite lyrically deep or anything, it's aggressive feel keeps the momentum generated by "Set it Off." Then comes my favorite song on the album: "Alive." While not as hard as the first two, the passion is evident in the vocals and the lyrics really get you going. Musically, this song's chorus ranks high, with beautiful harmonies backed by the typical P.O.D.-style guitars. Next up comes the calming sounds of "Youth of the Nation." Yet somehow, through the quieter, slower tune you still get that intensity and passion from the vocals. Definitely an incredible skill of P.O.D. is their ability to keep that feeling through the whole album regardless of the style of each song. From there, each song has it's own story to tell, but that would make this review too long.
From the rock-infused, pounding rhythms in "Satellite" and "The Messenjah," to the slower, haunting sounds of "Thinking About Forever," P.O.D. feeds the listener masterpiece after masterpiece filled with skill and even more passion. Satellite the album is AMAZING!

One of the best albums ever made. | Posted December 27, 2008
This album is so great that I can't even find the words to describe how amazing it is. Every song is perfect save for only one which I would clasify as good. This album is one hour of pure genius. BUY IT!!!
