Jaci Velasquez [edit]
by Jaci Velasquez | Genre: AC/Inspo | Release Date: June 02, 1998

Despite winning the Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and becoming the fastest-selling solo debut artist in Christian music history, this young talent hasn't lost her focus. "There are a lot of problems that the youth deal with" she says. "The youth need ministry. That's where I come in." The purveying theme of Jaci's second studio album is represented in the song, "God So Loved," which communicates the timeless message of John 3:16.

The lead single off this album (God So Loved) was, in my opinion, very boring....however, there are some great, underrated tracks here...
The best song, by far, is "Glory" and could have easily found a place on pop charts at the time. "Made my World" and "Show You Love" are also fantastic songs. "You" is a pretty ballad.
There are some songs that fall flat, but overall, this album actually holds up better than her debut,

This album has some great tunes like "God So Loved", "Show You Love", "Child of Mine" and "Glory", but the rest of the songs are just ballads that don't have that umph that soaring ballads should have. This one doesn't quite compare to some of her other releases.

i love jaci velasquez!! she is a classic christian artist. Though old stuff doesn't even come close to how good her newer songs are , all of her music is good. !!!!!!!!

Although this is not as good as "Heavenly Place," Jaci's 2nd album has some real gems. Many thought this album would be the end of Jaci's career, after it only spawned a few singles (God So Loved, Glory, Look What Love Has Done) that were nowhere near as successful as "Heavenly Place"'s singles, with the exception of "God So Loved." Highlights include "God So Loved," the upbeat "Show You Love", the melodic "You," the funky "Child Of Mine" and the uber-catchy "Made My World."
