Thats how you change the world. The Newsboys, in their new album 'Restart' use cool effects to amp up the songs and make it fun to dance/rock out to (depending on what you call it). This album has the mainstream dance sound to it, just like most of the new Newsboys music they have been producing. This album would be good for a party-like setting and some songs like 'How You Change the World', 'Live With Abandon,' and the title song 'Restart' could even be addapted for regular worship preformances. Album comes with 11 songs and the Deluxe edition comes with an aditional 5 songs.
My Favorite Song on the Album:
'Fishers of Men'
Super upbeat song with an inspiring message.
Ratings:
(on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the best)
Lyricality (Are the lyrics impactful and creative): 8
There are a ton of great lines in all the songs, but they get a little repetitious.
Musicality (Is the music itself worth while): 7
Mainstream dance style. Similar chord progressions in all songs. Good upbeat tempo.
Origionality (Does it differ from the genre it is in): 7
Dance music with a Christian message. Tait provides a unique style, but as their third album as the new Newsboys I expcect a little more from them than the basic cookie cutter style they have been producing.
Dancibility (How good is it to dance to): 10
All the songs are really upbeat, except for three(Which all have a really great and heartfull message, just not good for upbeat dancing...)
Value (Is the album worth purchasing (number of songs): 9
You are getting what you pay for. About $1 per song.
