This book is not a straight-forward modern day fiction story. It is a creative and thought provoking story that, if you allow it to, will really make you think about your "image" of God - what you allow and don't allow God to be to you.
The story begins with Mac getting a message to head back to a cabin where, years before, his daughter was found murdered. I was shaking my head, telling him not to go without telling his wife - knowing he was going to. What happens at the cabin is not logical, is not practical, and is exactly what challenges the reader to really think about who God says He is, and who the reader thinks He is.
This book had me in tears - I read it quickly, and passed it on to my pastor within days. I definitely recommend reading it!
