A failed, flawed human being learns to love again....what a beautiful story. Ashley's Paris ordeal was truly heartbreaking. Yet she still had love to give to Irvel and company. Landon is a true man of God. He's the picture of Hosea.

Awesome! | Posted May-17-2011
Thanks to an interlibrary loan, I finally got to read this series! The hook of this book is that it didn't have a storybook ending. There were sinners who suffered the consequences, and love that sacrificed. A wonderful introduction to the Baxter family.

Do these two belong together or what? I love reading books with medical details in them because of the possibility for healings. I think the Bjorklunds are Lauraine Snelling's answer to Karen Kingsbury's Baxter family. Great book!

An awesome read! | Posted April-13-2011
Liz Curtis Higgs delivers in the conclusion of her Scottish retelling of the story of Ruth. The story is compelling, the characters are skillfully scripted and molded, and the conclusion is hopeful. You'll enjoy this book!

A Beautiful story | Posted July-03-2010
If you can get past the descriptive language to see the story of God chasing us and loving us no matter what, you'll love this book. I read in fits and starts until near the end.....when not even a headache would stop me from finishing! Powerful stuff. Read this!!!

Annette Smith is a good storyteller; however sometimes she gets off-topic. If you're expecting Chicken Soup for the soul - like stories, they're actually more reminiscences than stories with a clear conclusion. Still interesting.

Well done! | Posted June-12-2010
Terri Blackstock outdoes herself in this tale of grief, loss, forgiveness, and good vs evil. She shows that there's a lot of gray area in real life and also makes the characters believable and real.

Good but... | Posted June-10-2010
The ending's loose ends were a little too neatly tied up. It came across as kind of cheesy, but if you like that sort of thing, go ahead. In some places it sounds like another book preceded it.

Very insightful | Posted June-08-2010
It really made me think a lot about faith...still thinking about the implications of some of the things that Yancey mentioned. Check this book out sometime.
