Lynn Chen, the artist behind Freedom Heart, has released a beautiful song of hope called Lost and Broken. The genre is CCM with light bits of CEDM in the chorus.
Lynn twittered just before release day: “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty,“ they'll be my treasured possession. I'll spare them, just as a father has compassion & spares his son who serves him. And you'll again see the distinction between the righteous & the wicked, between those who serve God & those who do not"
I believe that this is a great summary of how the lost and broken can have hope, and this song captures that essence so well.

Throughout the COVID pandemic, feelings of fear, anxiety, self-worth and inadequacy are more common than ever before. It's crucial that we remind ourselves of the truth that God's love is stronger than absolutely anything we feel. These feel-good song uses modern instrumentation, cool vibes, and inspirational vocals to capture the listener, in turn encouraging them to lift up their heads.
Ellie and Tim Button have been releasing the songs of this EP one by one over the past months, building up to the moment that all songs are clubbed together in one EP. Yes, I have been adding reviews for each of these songs as they were released, but these are lost now that everything is bundled into one EP on NRT. The essence over the past months hasn't changed. I have enjoyed these songs from day 1.
These songs were recorded while Tim & Ellie were on a mission in Moldova. The musicians are Moldovan professionals. The sound has beautiful accents that we don't often hear. Ellie's voice... it is the kind of voice that can melt even the coldest heart and spreads God's message in such a beautiful way.
