This guy entered the SA iTunes album chart at no.1 with his debut album! Need I say more?
A local tv station kept playing this music video of "Take Yours, I'll Take Mine" and I had no idea who the guy with the banjo was at the time, but it definitely made us stop and watch every time. I enjoyed it because it was humorous and, as a Josh Garrels/Hunter Thompson/Rend Collective Experiment fan, I loved the folky-ness of the song. Then I Googled him, listened to his Soundcloud tracks and absolutely HAD to get the album. It's a must have especially for fans of the Mumford & Sons type sound.
Smooth vocals + simple lyrics and just pure musical genius(ness).
