Just bought 287's debut album | Posted March 25, 2013
After listening to 287's new album "It's A Pity You Couldn't Stay" for the first time this week, I found myself enjoying myself more than I have from any other independant artist that I can recall in recent history.
The vocalist has a clean, easy-on-the-ears voice that goes quite well with the music that encompasses it. Even more importantly, several of the songs on this CD are quite catchy, and I found myself humming them subconsciously throughout the following day.
That being said, it's not a perfect album. The acoustic rendition at the end leaves isn't as strong as it could be, and another one of the songs (I think it was "Life is Good") lacks the focused energy that the rest of the album exudes so brilliantly.
Overall, this album is still a good listen. 8/10. It would "be a pity" not to check it out.
