Named MTV and Epic Record's "Artist of the Week," Boston-based, christian singer/songwriter Jon Robert has spent the past year recording, promoting, and touring his latest release "Racing The Sun," featuring his hit single "Only In Your Eyes." The EP was recorded with top industry producer Ted Comerford (Virginia Coalition and Zox), mixing engineer Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, Lifehouse, and Dave Matthews Band) and mastering engineer Greg Calbi (Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Lenny Kravitz). This release comes in anticipation of Jon's first full-length album, for which he has raised over $10,000 from dedicated fans thus far on Sellaband.com.

A self-proclaimed "conceptual storyteller," twenty-six year old JR relays his music "in whatever form the story dictates, not branded as this or that.... I write for the day, and make every detail a page in my life." In 2000, Jon relocated to San Diego, California performing as a solo acoustic pop act playing the beach scene, coffee houses, clubs, bars, and some of San Diego's most reputable venues. Having developed his showmanship, musicianship, and a rapidly growing fan base, Jon moved back to the East Coast.

Jon's 2003 EP "Listen Loud" buzzed around Boston's local music scene leading to years of steady touring with Howie Day, Matt Nathanson, and Damien Rice and an exponentially growing national fan base. Noisehead.com chose Jon as "Noisehead Featured Artist" and "Top Downloaded Artist," citing JR as "...one of the most promising and emerging talents of this year."

With the 2007 release of "Racing The Sun," Jon was invited to open for international pop star JoJo at select Massachusetts stadiums, as well as a string of gigs at Jones Beach Theater in New York, opening for Aly & AJ, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Additionally, Jon has been selected to showcase at the Starbucks Music Makers Competition and at NACA (National Association of College Activities) Central Regional Conference. This will kick off Robert's campus and national tour.
