I was the kid who would delay bedtime by acting out the picture book after my parents read it. I was also the kid who felt invisible at school and would barely talk… until I learned I could sing. 

I became an avid theatre kid, and knew I wanted to be involved in the arts and music for the long haul. After obtaining a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University, I moved to New York and had the adventure of a lifetime there for two years. I learned from some of the greats in the industry, including Matt Farnsworth Voice Studio, and Jenn Waldman. I sang acapella with the New York Holiday Singers and had the opportunity to perform on Good Morning America. I pounded the pavement auditioning, and performed in the Trentino Music Festival’s production of Godspell, and with an underground theatre company who wrote and produced new works. 

After some time in the city, I moved back to my hometown in Texas and jumped right into the role of Mary Poppins. Since then, I’ve performed a variety of musical theatre roles, done regional and multi-state commercial and voiceover jobs, and become part of the local independent film scene. I’m always grateful to be part of projects that deliver messages of hope, like Kathie Lee Gifford’s “The Way” (Amazon Prime; Great American Pureflix).

I spent a few years in a long-distance, two-person band called The Chance Encounters. My bandmate and I were connected through a mutual friend, and to this day, we still haven’t met in person. 

My new music project is under my own name, and it is on track to become a collection of Contemporary Christian and Worship songs. My first release, a corporate worship song called “Healer of the Nations”, is already making an impact at conferences, worship services and other meetings across the globe. In addition to music, ministry and the arts, I am passionate about helping others grow in their skills and artistry, and I have the opportunity to do so through my home-based private voice studio, and through various group classes. 

I remember what it was like to be the kid who felt invisible. It feels like an entirely different life now, but perhaps it was that very season of life that planted a core life goal in my heart: that in everything I do, it would encourage and empower people toward all they are meant to be.
