Bassline Worship is a Christian music project by DJ/Producer David Benic as he walks his path with the Lord.
Like many kids growing up in the '70s and '80s, I wanted to be a rock musician. So I bought an electric guitar and learned how to play. Too bad I could not play more than a few songs. I gave up too soon. I never gave up on music, though. In the late '90s, I began to spin tracks with the best in Christian music for weddings and other events. Working with the Salvation Army, we created a Christian environment where churches could bring youth groups to hang out on Friday nights. We called the weekly event "Soul Creation." One side had food and games, and the other had a full-scale concert environment with a DJ and lighting like the pros.
Over the years, I have collected the most extensive Christian music library most have ever seen. I still played the guitar occasionally, but I began to enjoy Christian Electronic Dance Music or CEDM more the older I got. Rock music has changed so much since the classic rock days of the '70s and '80s. Electronic worship music places me in the love and worship of God.
It is never too late to chase your dreams as long as they align with God's plan, even if your dream sounds crazy. If you hear the Word of the Lord's encouragement in your prayers, don't give up and keep pressing forward to reveal His greater glory to all humanity.
My purpose is as clear as day: to point others to Jesus.
I am grateful for God and His love, grace, mercy, and salvation. I am blessed with family and the joy of His creation. I love the Lord above all. I am thankful to be able to make music to express that love.
