Established in 2014, the Panama City based female country duo, Cori & Kelly, have traveled and performed extensively throughout the southern states. They are most notably known for their incredible harmonies as well as the ability to share lead vocal responsibilities on various tracks, due to the versatility of their voices. Their music is described as worshipful with a pop country twist and sometimes even a splash of bluegrass.
In May of 2018, Cori & Kelly released their debut single, "Take Me Back to Church" to a small audience which made waves across social media and streaming sites and eventually caught the attention of a small independent label who wanted to help promote the new single. That summer, the duo spent a week traveling across the country on a radio tour, marking their final stop with Devin O'Day at WSM, The Grand Ole Opry station in Nashville.
Cori & Kelly's Debut EP, produced by Brent Rader (Joe Nichols) has been a hit among the inspirational and positive country audience with a sound that's a cross between Carrie Underwood and Maddie & Tae. Along with earning two #1 spots on the top 100 Christian Country charts for "Victory Song (Country Mix)" and "Take Me Back to Church", their November 2018 single, "Victory Song (Country Mix)," co-written with Ben Calhoun of the CCM Group Citizen Way, broke an HLE Christian Country Countdown record by holding the #1 spot for 13 straight weeks.
In October 2018, the community of Panama City was rocked by Hurricane Michael. Putting their normal gigs on hold and starting the journey of piecing their own lives back together, Cori & Kelly stepped up as inspirational leaders; singing songs of hope to large stadium gatherings, schools, churches and even neighborhood cul-de-sacs. The music video of their cover song, "Come to Jesus" by Mindy Smith features images of their home church and spots around town just days following the cat 5 hurricane making landfall. The video currently has combined views of over 170k on their social media accounts and continues to inspire people all over the world.
In November 2018, Cori & Kelly had the opportunity to meet and perform as one of the openers for the female country duo, Maddie & Tae at the Apalachicola Seafood Festival in Apalachicola, Florida. This was especially exciting as Maddie & Tae has been a longtime inspiration for Cori & Kelly.
In April of 2019, Cori and Kelly were named "Duo of the Year" at the ICMA awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.
In June 2020, the country duo traveled to Arrington, TN to film a music video in Kings Chapel (Chapel in Zach William's "Old Church Choir" video) with videographer Andrew Gill of Bellhop.Suite (Anthem Lights, Caleb + Kelsey), for an acoustic version of "Take Me Back to Church". That same month, the duo also became official business partners by establishing We Anointed, LLC, which is primarily being used as their independent label and publisher. Additionally, Cori & Kelly started writing and recording new songs for the start of their second album along with re-producing "Victory Song" to be released to Christian AC radio in August.
Outside of music, the duo stays busy. Cori is the Preschool Director at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Panama City, FL and on the church's praise team as well as a wife and a mom to 2 precious boys and a baby girl. Kelly teaches K-2nd music at Jeff Davis Primary School in Hazlehurst, GA, worship leader at Hillcrest Baptist Church and is a wife and a mom to a beautiful daughter and sweet little boy.
Putting all of their trust in God and with the blessings and support of their friends & families, Cori & Kelly are excited to see where their partnership and lifelong love of music takes them.
