Born in Miami, Oscar Urbina grew up listening to rappers Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Juvenile, and Nas. By high school, he began writing his own hip hop songs and aspired to become a rap star, teacher, and minister. The Moody Bible Institute graduate released his first mixtape, Finally, in 2014, receiving critical acclaim that led to him being included in Rapzilla’s 15 Freshman of 2015 and winning the leading Christian hip hop site’s 16 Bar Challenge. He dropped his sophomore set, Molly Pitcher, in 2016. When he is not rapping or teaching junior high school students at Northwest Christian Academy in Opa-locka in Miami-Dade County, he ministers at his church, The Brook Miami.
