STEPHEN JENKS

For over 18 years, Stephen has led worship with Eagles’ Wings in venues large and small all over America and in 5 countries.   This recording represents the fruit of those years in eight original songs which carry the timeless messages of scripture in songs which express the diversity of Stephen’s musical experiences.

Stephen was born in New York City where he grew up surrounded by the global panorama of sounds and music that is the representation of the city.  He went to school in the center of Harlem and developed an early love for the gospel and R&B sound.   In elementary school his family moved to upstate New York and Stephen pursued classical studies in both piano and voice.  In high school and college he found himself in a variety of different groups from Sunday morning worship teams, to barbershop quartets, to opera, to gospel groups; each contributing to his unique sound.

FUTURE WORSHIP
His first CD "Future Worship" is an invitation to share in Stephen’s journey of worship with varied sound and styles all proclaiming the scriptural reality that worship is the place where eternity and earth come together.

From the opening track "Ransomed" to the final track "Zion's Call" his prayer is that this album would be a sonic passageway for people to take God up on his invitation to worship in "spirit and in truth" John 4:24.  As you listen be welcomed into that other place of adoration and celebration. This is future worship.
