"Logic and common sense suggest his career path is impossible," says Brad Flory of MLive.com. "Rob Vischer got his start in music by selling CD's door to door. He's now climbing the ladder of the music world," states Zeke Jennings of the Jackson Citizen Patriot.
In 2010, I decided I didn't want to go back to work. So, after a summer of painting houses, I became a full-time singer/songwriter. In the first two days of selling my old cd's door to door, bar to bar, and restaurant to restaurant, I made $811. My success continued throughout the fall, and it definitely paid the rent.
In my first year, I sold 2,000 cd's and was invited to play at numerous local and regional venues including schools, camps, restaurants, and festivals. I turned some of the more traditional offers down, because I made more money playing in hair salons. Turns out women love tall guys who sing them love songs.
During that year, my profits funded life and the start of my new album, Meant to Love. When I hear this album, it sounds like thousands of miles on the road, hundreds of goodbye's, a few of my closest friends, and proof that patience pays off in the long run. I hope you hear something similar.
