For The Broken is a purpose-driven hard rock band based in Kansas City. Delivering a straight forward, “punch-you-in-the-face” sound that features blazing dual guitars, heart-pounding rhythm, and powerful vocals, For The Broken will appeal to multiple generations that love bands such as Judas Priest, Metallica and Godsmack.
Drawing inspiration from the joys, as well as the trials and tribulations of life, the lyrical styling will challenge, motivate, and encourage the listener as they travel their own journey through life. “We believe we can touch a lot of people through our music and by sharing what we have learned along the way.”
For The Broken has quickly gained a reputation as a must-see live band. Their high-energy, musicianship, and mature stage presence has created a loyal following. They have opened for multiple national touring bands, including Adler’s Appetite, LA Guns, Tremonti, Chevelle, and Drowning Pool. Their following has grown from a local one to a national one as they recently finished 3rd in an on-line new band voting contest (out of 75+ bands) for Cornerstone Festival in Illinois, resulting in them earning a slot to play in 2011 on the main stage for the annual festival with attendance levels between 20,000 and 30,000.
For The Broken’s self-titled debut CD, recorded at Chapman Studios in Kansas City with renowned engineer Robert Rebeck (Tech N9ne, Puddle of Mudd), has just been released June, 2011. Songs such as "Crawling", "Give Till It Hurts" and "From Here", establish the band’s song-writing ability both musically and through their relevancy to their fans.
