Born into a family of musically gifted individuals, New York native Durel Hall is no stranger to music and as a third generation believer in Christ/Adventist , he is no stranger to God’s love. Beginning with his grandfather and continuing throughout the next few generations, Durel has been surrounded by gospel singers, songwriters, musicians and producers his entire life. He found his personal niche in music at 5 years old, when he picked up a set of drumsticks at his grandfather’s church and declared himself the official drummer.

After having spent ten years as a drummer, Durel was 15 years old when he realized he had the ability to command a more powerful weapon - a writer’s pen. With this new outlet, his love for music grew and so did his talents as a writer and composer.
Durel’s path toward Christ is one perfectly marred with purposeful rebellion. Before submitting himself to God, he chose to compose songs for the world. However, the untimely passing of his young cousin, who was like a brother to him, changed everything. Wrought in despair, Durel was brought to a dark place of seclusion – a place he had never truly been before – and it was there, God called him by name and, finally he answered. Combine these elements and what is produced is a man who has seen first-hand the restorative power of God. In the midst of it all, as God uses Durel to minister he remains humble with the knowledge that God’s love, blessings, and offer of eternal life - are administered to all. He was only fortunate to live long enough to accept.
Durel simply wishes to show the world that one does not have to be perfect to praise - we all have reason to thank God, we all have a testimony worth sharing. It may actually be those who have been enraptured by iniquity that have the greatest need to shout “hallelujah”. For it is they that understand the restorative power of praise. Durel has surrounded himself with a team of anointed singers and musicians, and in a short time his music has already touched the hearts of those involved and stirred an excitement towards the future of this endeavor. Working in collaboration with Praizevision this project continues to blossom and grow. Gary Saunders CEO of The PraizeGroup states, "We are extremely excited to present to you and to the world Durel Hall & Restored".
