Ruth Dente, the founder and a lead vocalist of Morning Star Voices, a family worship band, is a gifted Worship Leader, Song-writer and Vocal coach who truly loves the Lord. At the early age of five, Ruth began songwriting, singing with her school choirs for competitions and solo in Sunday school classes. As she grew, she began singing in her church choir and as a Trio with her sisters.
Over the last sixteen years Ruth has traveled across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, USA and Canada blessing congregations and people with her passion in worship.
Ruth has recently launched her single “He’s Calling Me” and new solo album “The Call”. All the songs on “The Call” were written by Ruth Dente, whose main focus is to bring people into the presence of God for intimate worship. She has shared the stage with many Christian artists locally and internationally. Ruth was number 1 on the ReverbNation Christian/Gospel charts for her local area and number 2 across Canada for two months. She is also busy completing her book. The following is a quote from her book “Whatever you do you, do it with all that is within you. If you are going to sing – Sing with Purpose! Sing with Passion! Sing with Power! You will inspire many.”
When asked, have you seen God use music to help others, Ruth`s reply was:
“One testimony that sticks out is one year I went to Arizona to do a Concert and I sang a song about how God is the same forever and if he has done it before, he can do it again. The next year I went back and a lady came up to me and told me that she was longing to see me again to let me know; she had a rough year and that the song I sang kept ministering to her through that year. She was consoled knowing that God will get her out of her terrible situation. I have numerous testimonies of how music helps others.”
When she’s not on stage, Ruth enjoys spending time with her husband and their three beautiful girls. She also loves sewing, gardening, event planning, building websites and the list goes on.
Ruth certainly believes that with God, all things are possible.
