My Mantle was formed in 2010 in Gresham, Oregon, consisting of members Jordan Peters and Chancelor Reeder. After additional personnel changes the bands lineup included vocalist Michael Finch, bassist Tyler Nobes and guitarist Jon Arcouette.
The band hit the writing block and recorded their debut E.P titled Giants with Neil Engle at Goat Shed studios in Mulino, Oregon. Giants was leaked in 2011 before the release and received an immediate buzz in the indie music scene. When the album officially dropped it received 19 five-star reviews on iTunes with a 5-star average rating.
Finch and the band parted ways after the album was released and he was later replaced by vocalist Jamie Currie. Shortly after Currie was added to the lineup the band began working on their second highly anticipated release. They entered Interlace Studios in Portland with brilliant producer Stephan Hawkes (My Body Sings Electric, Jonny Craig, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo) to put out a new E.P.
Guitarist Jon Arcouette left the band soon after and was replaced by Brennan Dryer. My Mantle blends the soft and the heavy, and has an eclectic sound that breathes new and exciting life into an emerging alternative genre. You will undoubtedly be seeing them at a venue near you come 2013.
