Drew Reese began his music career over a decade ago, but shortly after releasing his first album; the tragic events of September 11th occurred which prompted Reese to join the military and serve this great nation.
Since his professional debut in 2000, Drew has been featured on over a dozen recordings, and has toured the world with one of the Air Force’s premier touring groups.
Drew has also served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as Operation Enduring Freedom, which has gained him the nickname the “Singing Soldier”
Drew began playing the piano and singing before he even entered kindergarten. At a young age of three, Drew found his way to the piano and begin to try to pluck out melodies that he had heard. His mother recognized this and helped him on his way to a life devoted to music.
When Drew was in the sixth grade he was constantly struggling with his piano teacher with the classics. He just didn't dig it, and he would never practice, so his teacher tried to introduced him to different styles of music. Finally after a lot of trying his teacher found his soft spot ...Contemporary Christian Music. From this point on, Drew fell in love.
Once he discovered this type of music, and his love for performing Drew was set on his ministry of proclaiming the gospel through music. And at the young age of 18 he recorded his first demo, which started him on the path to fulfilling this mission.
Outside the recording studio, Drew has performed live in well over a dozen countries and over three quarters of the continental United States. Touring with the premiere U.S. Air Force group Tops in Blue, Drew was a vocalist and keyboard player.
Drew’s 2011 release “Redemption” marks a new direction in his music career. Two years in the making, Redemption is an offering of worship to God. After attending a conference for college students, Drew decided to devote his life and ministry to “Making Jesus Famous”
Drew’s passion for gospel-centered music is only superseded for his love for his country. Drew is currently assigned to and the 23rd Army Band for the Utah Army National Guard where he serves as a Lead Vocalist, Production Coordinator, Arranger/Producer and Public Affairs NCO.
