With vocals that are drenched in soul and conviction, an acoustic guitar, and raw lyrics, Natalie Creel is a 21 year old musician and songwriter who seeks to break outside of the box and use music to ask the questions and state the things we're all thinking, but are sometimes too afraid to say. Natalie has a true passion for music and an “open book” attitude that lets you take a peek inside of her heart. You can’t help but walk away feeling connected to her after listening to her songs. Natalie’s music captivates you through lyrics that are thought-provoking, often brutally honest, and transparent.
In June 2009 Natalie, through online fan voting, won a spot to play Atlanta Fest ’09 at Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta, GA. Immediately following the festival, she boarded a plane to Montreal to visit family. While there she auditioned for a music producer and after receiving very positive feedback Natalie was determined to work as hard as she could to reach her dreams. When she returned home, Natalie recorded a full-length acoustic album at a local studio. She then began booking a lot of gigs at local and regional venues, events, and festivals. Five months later, in November, Natalie was signed to the artist management agency McLaughlin Music Group, Inc. in January 2010. Soon after, in March 2010, she recorded her first EP at Zodlounge Productions in Nashville, TN.
In the summer of 2010 Natalie toured all over the southern and eastern states of the USA on the Compassion International Presents: The Not Alone Again Tour. After receiving tons of radio airplay on CCM stations across the United States, and internationally, Natalie’s debut single, Pure White, reached #5 on the CRW Gold & Platinum Charts. Pure White was also added to Australia’s largest Christian radio network, Vision Radio Network, which broadcasts to over 450 stations Down Under. To wrap up 2010, Natalie was featured on OurStage.com, and MTV Partner site, where she also reached #1 on the Pop Chart.
Though 2010 was a great year for Natalie, 2011 is already proving to be an exciting one with many new opportunities. In January 2011 Natalie was invited to perform at the 30A Songwriter’s Festival in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. There she shared the stage with award winning and critically acclaimed songwriters from all over the world, such as Ben Glover, Matt Kearney, Emily Saliers, and Gretchen Peters. Natalie was also announced as a finalist in the 2011 International Songwriting Competition, an extraordinary achievement as her song, “To California”, was chosen among over 15,000 entries.
Natalie is now set to record her first full length album at Integrity Music (www.integritymusic.com) in April 2011 with producer Jeff Quimby (Lincoln Brewster, Kari Jobe, Big Daddy Weave, Paul Baloche). Following the debut release, dates will be announced for regional and national tours.
