Award winning producer Andrew Horrocks has given the record a very contemporary sound while maintaining the uniqueness of Scott's songwriting that takes the listener on a journey that mirrors David's experience of God in the PSALMS. There are fantastic performances by the numerous artists who came together to record Sons of Light. Lead guitarist Joel Williams plays regularly with Scott; his leads are outstanding and he weaves unique textures throughout the album that help to solidify the songs. Bass player Mark McIntyre, drummer Darryl McWaters and keyboard player Ian Tanner combined to create a solid foundation with groove, depth and clarity.

One of the things that makes this record unique is the special guest appearances of recording artists Jacob Moon and Andy Taylor. Jacob's seven albums have gained him numerous awards and critical acclaim. Jacob's vocals on "My King" are simply fantastic! Andy Taylor's debut album "In The Stillness" received huge radio support and his vocals on "Brothers in the Lord" are excellent. Back up singers Rufus and Natasha John have brought some funk, flavour and vocal power to "One Church" and "Thy Will Be Done".
