Seven years ago a dream became reality. The idea of impacting an entire major University town for Jesus Christ was birthed, and Harrisonburg, Virginia was to be the location. A team of four people from southern California packed up all of their belongings and headed east. They arrived in Harrisonburg knowing only one person in the entire city. Many doubters told them that they would never succeed, and that focusing on college students was a big mistake.
But God's desire would ultimately prevail. Combining extreme relevancy with Biblical orthodoxy, Aletheia church was launched on October 28, 2001 with the hopes of impacting James Madison University with the truth. After seven years, over 1,000 people have committed their lives to Christ, hundreds have been baptized, and many other come to the realization that a life full of meaning and purpose is found only in Christ. Additionally, two Aletheia sister church plants have been birthed in Richmond and Norfolk to impact the campuses of Virginia Commonwealth University and Old Dominion University respectively.
And it will not stop there. We hope that one day, the vision of Aletheia church will sweep across the nation to impact every major college and university town. This album is the sound of our praise, given to the God who will make it all possible. This is the sound of a revolution. This is the sound The Sound of Your Grace.
