In 2007 Green Means Go formed from the disbanding of previous musical projects. The band members wanted to take a more serious approach to having fun, and Green Means Go became the sought after outlet for expression in the form of pop/punk/hardcore music (the band members cite such artists as: New Found Glory, MxPx, The Offspring, Blink-182, and All Time Low as musical influences). From humble beginnings, the band has continued to work and push for success, and along the way have gathered some impressive accolades to their resume. In 2008, the band rose from the ranks of over 230 demo submissions to Milwaukee's pop radio station "103.7 Kiss FM" for the "Kiss Icon" contest. The single "You're Not Here" propelled the band past such popular Milwaukee underground artists as Koala Taxi to take third overall in the contest. Since then, the band has continued to work Milwaukee’s underground circuit. Green Means Go continues to play at The Rave selling out their allotted tickets playing pre-shows for such artists as: All Time Low, The Rocket Summer, Cartel, Cobra Starship, New Found Glory, Forever the Sickest Kids and Senses Fail. Green Means Go also has also gained experience sharing the stage and playing opening sets with such rising punk/hardcore artists as August Burns Red (Solid State Records), MxPx (Tooth and Nail), and Flatfoot 56 (Flicker Records/Sony BMG). In early 2009, the band travelled down south to play a showcase for INO Records who had expressed interest in the band. Green Means Go has proven to be extremely marketable amongst a demographic of high school/college-aged music lovers in particular. The band draws between 150-300 attendees at youth-friendly venues (i.e. colleges, youth groups etc.). With the release of the “Check Your (Alter) Ego” EP, and anticipation for a summer 2009 tour in the Midwest, Green Means Go shows no signs of slowing down as they continue to expand their growing fanbase!
