About One80 Band
MyGen Profile Generator Jared - I sing lead, and play a martin acoustic and a fender strat with a line 6 POD xt Live pedal. My life consisits of the following...my wonderful and supportive wife, God, the band, work, and friends. Too many influences to bore you with, ahh...okay, just a few: Chris Tomlin, Kutless, Red, Casting Crowns. The last few years have went so fast, but God has taught me so much. The band is starting to step up by writing our own music, which is awesome, and I'm excited about how God will use us. 'Not to us, but to HIS name, be the Glory' Thats about all there is to know about me, but just ask if you want to know anything else.
Luke - I play the drums, and other percussion every once and awhile. I taught myself to play at some point, I don't really remember when. I love God, and even though I constantly screw up, He is always there for me. I have a wonderful fiancee and we are getting married in July of next year. I have a full-time landscaping job, and I think I should mention that I'm a BIG ohio state fan. GO BUCKS! Other than that I love jamming with all of these guys (and girl). They are my best friends and it's awesome to get to lead people in worship with them.
Marc - Church has always been a big part in my life. I was raised in a Christian home and I have always been aware of God's mercy and power. When the One80 band started I was the bass player, even though my real passion was lead guitar. After about a year, our lead guitarist decided to do more of the technical things with the band, so I moved over to lead guitar. I use a Dean USA Timecapsule Flying V and a 1988 USA Fender Stratocaster. My playing style is influenced by guitarists like Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Angelo Batio, but I try to make my style different in every song that we play. Playing in this band is a huge blessing for me and I am constantly trying to make myself a better guitarist and Christian to honor Jesus Christ with the music that I play. I always remind myself that every note that I play is for His glory; not mine.
JC - Well, where do I start, I have been a Christian ever since late August of 2006, I first started questioning the whole church thing when i was 17. I never grew up around church, i met a girl who was a big time Christian if you would say, her and the rest of her family have been a huge part in my walk. They answered every question i had! I love Jesus with everything i am. So moving on to one80, im the newest member, i play bass guitar, a Schecter 5 String Custom. The service was a huge helper to bring me to know Jesus, its an honor to play in the band now, knowing that i can help someone else come to know Jesus. Its amazing how God uses us! I try to always play, dance, or sing to Him. ------- One word of advice, If you are questioning the exsistance of Jesus, or even the concept of God and have a question, ASK, I guarantee that you will never regret it!
