One of the original founders of Fifty Miles Away, Dustin performs the lead vocals and guitars for the band. Dustin started his musical career playing drums but quickly switched to playing the bass guitar for church worship service. Dustin and Derek have been the Percussion and Bass players for their church’s worship services for over five years now, playing more than 500 services together. The God given talent of songwriting has lead Dustin to the guitar where he composes most of the music and lyrics for Fifty Miles Away in conjunction with fellow band members and other talented artists. When he is not playing music Dustin enjoys playing with his two sons Trenton and Peydon as well as fishing, hunting, and playing golf.
Derek
A pioneer of the band from day one, Derek has graced the hearts of many with his talented pounding of the skins. Born on June 1, 1987, he met the world head on with a pair of drumsticks in hand. Days upon weeks, weeks upon months, months upon years, Derek would wake the dead out of a cold sleep at 3 o'clock in the morning. He could not sleep with this pure rythmatical genius brewing upon his inner self. After years of learning, Derek decided to take all of his natural talent to the next level and became the drummer for Fifty Miles Away. God has placed this amazing talent upon his life and he feels that this is a grand opportunity to utilize it.
Tyler
June 26, 1990. This was the day that the skies turned into a dark shade of orange and the bass guitarist for Fifty Miles Away was born. Ok, so maybe the sky didn't turn orange but you get the idea. Nathan Tyler Domerese, a name no one has ever heard of and likely never will. In the summer of 2005, Tyler was presented with the opportunity to step in as the bass guitarist for FMA. This was a long time passion of Tyler's due to the fact that his big bro, Derek, and big cousin Dustin were both members of the group. Now, with their debut album, Fifty Miles Away, just around the corner, Tyler has learned to adapt to the hardships of a successful musician through much time in prayer and practice. Being in the studio has been a great experience for Tyler but he says that he is just ready to rock out on the tour.
