The world of a girl teenager is an interesting place. It’s filled with the turmoil of growing up, and the fun of just being a kid, all the while learning to be an adult. In her new EP, fifteen year old Gabriela faces these realities head on with her music. Gabriela’s current team includes industry veterans Todd White of NEON Marketing & Management, and Marty MaGehee of the “original boy band,” 4HIM. White is serving in the capacity of manager, while MaGehee is acting as A&R and Producer. “This project has been a whole lot of fun,” says White. “Gabriela is so full of energy, and really knows where she wants to go as an artist.” “She’s practically a one-taker in the studio,” adds MaGehee. “She simply nails it and we move on. This is great for creative flow.” Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania originally, and now residing in the Springfield, Missouri area with her family, Gabriela has been singing since she was a toddler. “We’ve always had music in our house,” says Gabriela. “My Mom, three sisters and I have been singing all of our lives”. As with many young pop stars, Gabriela began her singing career in local churches. “It would seem that after every time we would sing, we would get several new invitations. We never had to look for places to sing, they always came to us.” In fact, Gabriela along with her sisters has participated in several national singing competitions. As an indie artist, Gabriela has been able to control where she is going musically and has enjoyed this process. “I like the freedom that you have as an indie artist, although it would be great to have an awesome machine behind my music. I think most indie artists want this…I’m no different.” When asked what the future holds for her, Gabriela says, ”I hope we not only make great records, but music that connects to kids and adults and changes them. Ultimately, this is what I’m about. It’s a lot of fun, but there’s so much at stake in the world…I just want to be a part of their lives.” Gabriela…she’s fun, she’s exciting, and she’s talented. She is poised to take the pop music scene by storm…she’ll start with you.
