She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is best known as the English voice of Sakura Haruno on the hit anime series Naruto. She has also been credited under the name of Kate Davis. Kate started playing the piano at six years old and got her first gig at age 15 playing piano and singing in her mother's restaurant, performing from 'The Great American Songbook'. Kate Higgins earned a degree in music from Auburn University. She is a trained pianist who studied with the jazz pianist, Bob Richardson. After graduation, Kate moved to LA, which proved harder than she realized. Finding solace in playing hymns, Kate would sit down at the piano to sing and arrange gospel songs, bringing some of the love and purity back into the music she enjoyed, giving her a place of refuge. Figuring that if she was able to experience peace from it, than others would too, Kate recorded these hymns and gave a few copies to friends without much expectation. To her surprise, there was a wider audience for her music than she initially thought.
