At Lystra a man was sitting who had no strength in his feet, lame from his mothers womb, who had never walked...
The innovative and passionate band Lystras Silence is devoted to proactively proclaiming the truth an entire city rejected, but that had also given power to the faith of a single, crippled man. Through the five years that they have played together, a unique sound has matured, grasping their audiences. The group brings listeners a taste of the joy experienced in having been crippled, but now standing, the richness of life that comes from knowing God. Lystras Silence is characterized by a representation of diverse musical backgrounds and influences. They've had the pleasure of uniting with other groups similar in passion and purpose. Having performed with Delirious?, Sonicflood, Plumb, Smalltown Poets, Pillar, The Supertones, Tree 63, Grits and Skillet. The depth and quality of their signature sound, however, sets them apart in modern Christian music. Their versatility enables them to not only host full performances, but also play intimate acoustic sets. With lead vocalist Sherry Muchira on keys, Tim Muchira druming, David King playing lead guitar, and Jon Noon on bass the bands strictly vertical music makes clear their restless desire to see God known by all.
Amazing Band on Fire for God| Posted January 02, 2012
Although they are no longer together, Lystra's Silence was one of the best bands I have heard. I know a few of the band members personally, as I attend their home church, and they are all wonderful people, on fire for God both on the stage and in their personal lives. I can't say enough good things about them.
