I heard their song "time" on the radio, and absolutely loved it, but it was on a station that NEVER says the names of their songs (kind of annoying) and I could NOT find it ANYWHERE!!! I looked ALL over the place, and it drove me INSANE!! Then I finally discovered where I can do a lyrics search online, and after about 20 min. of searching I found it, and was SOOOO happy! u would not even believe! anyway, I listened to the rest of their cd online, and HAD to have it! I am very happy about this CD and cannot wait for their next one, whenever it comes out. :D
Great First Effort!!| Posted August 27, 2007
Hailing from Chattanooga TN, Nevertheless has really made a name for themselves. The first LP "Live Like We're Alive" expresses so much, even with just 10 songs. Normally, I prefer a band to have more than 10 songs on the record, simply because CD prices these days are really high. However, it works well for Nevertheless. Now, I'm not saying they should release another 10 song disc. I'm simply saying that each song works so well that any more would be over doing it...
then again, can you really have too much of a good thing?

I've listened to a lot of other debut bands who have put out better debut CDs than this one. "Live Like We're Alive" and "The Real" are the only two songs that I'd say are worth really listening to...and it just so happens that they are both played on radio stations online.
As for the rest of the album, nothing truly stuck out to me...everything kinda sounded the same after a while.
Good Album-Nothing Special| Posted August 10, 2007
Waddya know, they have an EP-I just saw it when I had to select the title for this group...annnyywwayyy....
To start off, the album is good, not bad at all but not really excellent. Maybe it's just me I don't know but I feel like the main singer's voice is lacking a bit of enthusiasm. My favorite song on the whole CD (which is only ten songs long)is "Losing Innocence", very upbeat and fun-but when you think about it the lyrics really don't fit with the tune. he lyrics are sad and talk of the guy in desperate need of repentance while the tune makes you want to jump up and down signing and waving your hair (that is if your a girl) wildly to the song like your the coolest guitarist in the world (uhm, while doing all this the door is locked and the blinds are down of course)-which really is the quite opposite of the what the song is about.
O'Love is awesome. It's a soft song from God's point of view on things. But those are really only my favorite songs on the whole CD. I like "Patience and Devotion" and "The Real" a lot also though. Almost all the songs are upbeat and the guys are clear about their faith in God, and the album also deals with a few relationships. They have good lyrics and good music. But I, myself don't see anything special about them. Like I said they're good-nothing more nothing less.

This album by nevertheless is amazing. It took me a couple times listening to it through to really catch the best parts of it though. There are some really deep lyrics paired with some great musicianship! I recommend this album!
