For the fourth full-length album Eternal, War Of Ages once again decided to team up with Daniel Castleman and Tim Lambesis at Lambesis Studios where they recorded their previous album Arise & Conquer. Eternal is the next step in both songwriting and production, and with all War Of Ages albums, will be backed up by solid worldwide touring. With combined catalog sales of over 60,000 and touring history all over the USA and Europe, War Of Ages are poised and ready to take on the world with the release of Eternal.(bandsonfire.com)

I bought this cd right after seeing the band live. I already had one of their previous albums, but hadn't listened to it enough. I am now a big fan of the band and this album is a major reason for that. It hits hard from beginning to end, but mixes in the melody that sets apart War of Ages from many metal bands. However, the thing that really sets them apart is Leroy Hamp's bellowing roar and the lyrics behind it. This band is a band with a clear mission and I can only hope that they get more recognition for it. Highlights include Collapse, Eternal, Desire, Failure.

Wow... War of Ages definately didn't disappoint with their new album Eternal. With the opening track "Collape" it was easy to get a feel of this album. "Desire" featuring Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying was released before and made me psyched for this release. The fifth track, "Eternal" features Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. and that track easily ranks top five on this album. "Lack of Clarity" features Josh Gilbert of As I Lay Dying and adds another great touch to the album. My verdict is it is worth the money if you loved Arise and Conquer or any other War of Ages album.
