Features a limited edition 5-song Bonus CD, including the new Veggie Tales “St. Nicholas” end credit song “Give This Christmas Away”
Matthew West catapulted onto the Christian music scene in 2003 with his debut single, “More,” which was the most played Christian AC song of 2003. The multi-Dove Award nominee and sought-after songwriter released two critically-acclaimed recordings, Happy (2003) and History (2005); has been a mainstay at Christian radio with memorable hits like “Only Grace,” “History” and “Next Thing You Know”; and has toured with such artists as tobyMac and Jeremy Camp on the wildly popular 2008 “Boomin’ Beyond Measure” tour. In addition, West has penned songs for Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus, Natalie Grant and Mandisa, among others. West’s third studio recording, Something To Say, released January 15, 2008 and produced the No. 1 AC radio hit “You Are Everything,” which was also most played Christian song of 2008, as well as “Something to Say,” which climbed to No. 7 at AC radio. His most recent single, “The Motions,” was No. 1 on Radio & Records’ Christian AC Monitored chart and the Billboard Christian chart for 14 weeks as well as the most downloaded Christian digital track 15 weeks running, according to SoundScan.
This October, Matthew’s duet with Amy Grant “Give This Christmas Away” is featured the end credit song in Veggie Tales’ “St. Nicholas” Christmas DVD release.

A Great Addition To An Already GREAT Album!| Posted November 07, 2009
Matthew West's 2008 release 'Something To Say' is something to remember all on it's own--a fantasic album WELL worth the money you spend to hear it, but this 2009 Christmas season, Matthew and record label Sparrow Records have put together 'Something To Say: Christmas Edition'.
This album is a fine idea...basically the entire 'Something To Say' album with a few other Christmas songs and some acoustic takes on favorites are tacked onto the end of the album. There is 'Christmas Makes Me Cry', which was featured on Mandisa's 'It's Christmas' album a few years back, as well as the new song on the album, a duet with Amy Grant titled 'Give This Christmas Away'...a song that changes people's perspective on what December 25th really is and a challenge for followers of Christ to truly understand that it is 'better to give'...a wonderful song and well worth the re-release alone. There are acoustic versions of 'The Motions' and the moving 'Save A Place For Me' that are sure to leave anyone a fan of Matthew.
While people migt say that this re-release was un-nessasary, I COMPLETLY dissagree. This is a fantastic way to gift Matthew's album to family and friends this Christmas season, and to make fans of people who have never heard his music or ministry.
I am thankful that they have released the last few tracks to iTunes for those of us who already own the original version of the album, but believe me when I say, it would be well worth buying the whole thing again to get this extended version.
