The Ultimate Praise and Worship Album | Posted September 14, 2007
Leeland's Sound of Melodies is really amazing how they can combine worship songs and melodies into something you can dance to. The opener song "Sound of Melodies" really says something. "Hey" is one of the songs that you can dance to, "Carried To The Table" is a song you can just sing along to. I give them a million thumbs up for this cd.

great sound, powerful lyrics | Posted August 21, 2007
Personally, Leeland is currently my favourite Christian music artist. Their music is creative and imaginative, and they manage to make each track on their cd unique and different. However, Leeland not only captivates the listener with their refreshingly distinct and interesting music, their lyrics are also uplifting and moving. The song 'Tears of the Saints' is powerful, relevant, and simply beautiful.
I would generally categorize Leeland as a Christian pop/rock band, although many of their songs are great for modern worship as well.
I am definately looking forward to their next album!

Super cd | Posted August 21, 2007
The first cd of leeland is very good... The songs are really oringinal and are really good as you listen to the lyrics. The music is not always the same.. but the some songs are really boring. The sound of melodies is a cd were i can listen to all day long. Leeland is a band that we must watch.. because this can be a band that become a great band!

An Amazing Talent! | Posted August 03, 2007
If you have not heard of these guys by now, you need to! Leeland and his brother Jack have a wonderful gift for songwriting. The songs are easy to sing along to, but very deep spiritually. "Tears of the Saints" is best heard live, where Leeland's emotion pours through more clearly. "Hey" is a funky little toe tapper about discovering God's love.
If you want to hear more of Leeland's songwriting skills, pick up Michael W. Smith's "Stand" as he co-wrote quite a few songs on that cd.

Phenominal | Posted August 02, 2007
I must start with the fact that I picked this disc up last December and my oldest daughter got her hands on it and I picked up my own copy in January.
The title track is so moving that you are literally pulled into the waves of sound and touched by the powerful words of each successive track. Some of the major stands out songs beyond the title track for me are, Tears of the Saints, Too Much and How Wonderful.
Leeland Moorings song writing is phenomenal for a guy so young, and the fact that he has helped Michael W. Smith with writing for his latest project is just a huge statement of respect from one of the godfathers of Christian music.
