This inspiring first album features a collection of Ford’s original songs, including Jesus Poured His Love Down, I’m Gonna Sail Away, God’s Everlasting Lasting, I Know I’ve Been Blessed, and more. Ford’s songs carry powerful messages of spiritual awakening and divine love — many of which came to him in dreams.
“I never had a thought in my mind about creating music, but this is a calling from God,” says Ford. Speaking about Jesus Poured His Love Down, he adds, “This song came to me during a dream where I was sitting in my church, listening to the choir sing. When I woke up, I quickly recorded the initial lyrics I remembered, and the rest unfolded from there.”
Recently released as a single, Jesus Poured His Love Down captures the sudden feeling of overwhelming love Ford felt from God. “This song is about that powerful moment when Jesus poured His love down on me. It’s a feeling I want others to experience too,” he shares. The track’s spirit is uplifting and hopeful, meant to inspire listeners and remind them of God’s endless care. Ford hopes that through every song on Anthems of Hope, listeners will be encouraged and moved to live for Jesus.
For Ford, this release marks both a personal and spiritual breakthrough. Despite having no prior experience with music production or songwriting, he chose to follow God’s calling — overcoming self-doubt and navigating an entirely new creative path. As he stepped out in faith, Ford found collaborators who helped bring his vision to life, including Calvin Ivy, whose voice is featured on several tracks. He also worked with producer Warren Gilmore and Rick Turcotte of Flatlander Sound Studios to shape the album’s soulful sound.
When creating Anthems of Hope, Ford drew inspiration from Gospel legends like Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers.
“I’m proud that I did what God told me to do,” Ford says. “This is my first time creating music, and it sounds great. I’m excited to share it with the world.”
